This weekend is all about yard work at the Millwood abode (That's my house). Mowing, edging, weed-eating, de-weeding, pruning, and trimming ... I need a shower just thinking about it all. But I love getting dirty in the yard! It's theraputic, and instant gratification - something I need at the end of every week ;)
102.5 Shore Things
Getting to know the Eastern Shore
#44. A day in downtown Easton, MD
Taken directly from the town's website:
"Easton offers its visitors a wide variety of outdoor activities and an opportunity to forget their workday stress: sail on the Chesapeake or one of our rivers; golf on one of our seven golf courses; test your aim with sporting clays; see eagles soar and catch a glimpse of other wildlife in nearby refuges; cycle the Tred Avon Circle; or just take it easy and explore."
Ranked the 8th Best Small Town in America (according to them) - this weekend might be a good time to be a tourist in your own backyard.

ARTIST OF THE DAY:
Julian Drive
Shane Bowers (vocals, guitar) and Shaun Bennett (keyboard, guitar) formed the nucleus of the band while leading youth worship at church in their small hometown in rural Clarke County, Georgia. With the help of a few fellow friends they elevated the level of intensity from just another youth group worship band to a full fledged, no-holds-barred, ministry-oriented, Southern alt-rock band.
In 2006 the guys quit their day jobs and committed to a musical lifestyle full-time. It's had ups and downs - adventures, and the tedium of driving in a stinky van between gigs. But Julian Drive is just beginning!
The band's latest is an EP, Beyond Our Eyes (A short teaser for the full length album due out in January) - and is available at fine online retailers everywhere. (As long as everywhere is iTunes...)
