The windows are open at my house. It's just barely mid-September. Where I'm from, the great outdoors are fairly unpleasant until maybe mid-late October. The idea of Fall beginning in September might end up on the 102.5 Shore Things list at some point - because this is just marvelous!

One thing I love about Fall is Soup and Chowder! I love the warmth and heartiness of soups - and how they warm you from the inside out. Do you have a good recipe for me to try? Cause I would really love to give it a shot! Email me your recipes: jmillwood@wolc.org

102.5 Shore Things
Getting to know the Eastern Shore

#60. Jean Williamson’s homemade gingersnaps

I've been informed that Ms. Williamson brings these cookies to the station during Shareathon. So this addition is really two-fold.
1. Delicious cookies and
2. The greatest listening family in the world, that brings us sustainance, providing for this radio ministry in a very tangible and delicious way!

Maybe if you bring us some delicious food, along with your Shareathon pledge, you'll make the list too!

Have something to add to the list? I'd love for you to email me your ideas: jmillwood@wolc.org

ARTIST OF THE DAY:
Anthem Avenue

What do the folks say about Anthem Avenue?

"Their voices are their strength...a crystal clear, ear-pleasing collection of songs...the heart for ministry and the ultimate musical strength of Anthem Avenue make this release worth checking out..."
- Worship Leader Magazine

"...an easy vocal blend exalts God's love...Families longing for warm harmonies extolling the perfect, holy Source of that love won't be disappointed..."
- Plugged In Magazine (Focus On The Family)

The group formed in 2005 as a vocally charged concept from Gospel Communications International. They toured with David Phelps and Russ Taff for a while, speaking on an initiative called "Gospel Response to AIDS" - a 10 year project to educate sub-Saharan Africa.

It appears that the group disbanded sometime in 2007. Their website is gone, and their myspace page has not been updated in years. So enjoy their legacy!
