Tuesday, October 26, 2010

Things are starting to settle down at the station, post-Sharathon. The amount of preparation and attention to detail that goes into Sharathon would astound you. But now that it is said and done, we are getting excited about the rest of Fall and the Holidays!

Can you believe Thanksgiving is just 4 weeks away from Thursday? The calendar is filling up fast with Christmas parties and family visits! I hope you will spend the holiday season with us at Joy. There's a lot to be thankful for as 2010 heads towards its big finale, and topping that list is how grateful and thankful we are for you!

ARTIST OF THE DAY
Jared Bayless

Jared’s been singing/songwriting/playing since 2001. He didn’t play an instrument, write songs, or even sing in church until he was 19. One day he decided to sell his brand new Playstation 2, go down to the pawn shop, buy a used guitar, and proceed to teach himself off the internet how to play. That fall he attended Nebraska Christian College and met much better musicians than himself who were willing to take him under his wing and teach him how to get better as a musician and a God-fearing man.

While Jared Bayless is still relatively new to Christian radio, he has already had the opportunity to open up for national artists/bands Aaron Shust, Mark Schultz and Mikeschair.
“I aspire to reach those with a message that is powerful and speaks nothing but truth. With a lyrical deterioration in the musical society, I hope to provide thought-provoking lyrics which challenge your lifestyle, faith, image, and walk with God.” -Jared Bayless
