So ... what'd you get for Christmas?

That was the perrenial question upon return to school after Christmas break. That was the key indicator of how good a break you had. That question evolves into the adult question of "How was your Christmas?" but it still pretty much means the same thing. Just add in curiosity about travel or any particularly hystical or dramatic family happenings.

So how was your Christmas?

ARTIST OF THE DAY
Big Daddy Weave

BDW has been around for a decade now - and a fast one it was! Their latest release What Life Would Be Like is the band's fifth studio release! This album in particular is all about communicating their hearts in a straightforward, raw way.

“We all grew up in church,” Mike explains. “That is awesome, and I’m thankful for it, but there is also some baggage that comes with that. We grew up hearing people talk about grace, but there seemed to be an unspoken law that said, ‘but you also have to do this, this, this, this, and this.’ Nobody ever said it out loud, but I saw how people who didn’t do ‘this, this, this, this, and this’ were treated. Now truly, you will know a tree by its fruit, but that’s not grace. With What Life Would Be Like we are ripping up our old expectations to get to a place where we can receive the heart of God.”
