Have you ever bought or been given a beach game kit? One of those bags that comes with a wobbly net, horseshoes, and sometimes croquet? Such a waste of money. You use it maybe once, lost pieces or break it in the process. Volleyball and badminton can be frustrating when your net is made of yarn. You know what is a good beach investment? A Frisbee. Cheap. Hard to break. Great way to make friends.

This concludes my beach gear recommendations ...

ARTIST OF THE DAY:
Nicole C Mullen

NCM has been in the music industry a long time. A lot longer than even I thought. Back in 1991 she released her first album, but found her success as a writer and back-up singer. Did you know that she and her husband co-wrote Jaci Velasquez's Dove Award winning "On My Knees!?" She sang back-up for Michael W. Smith and The Newsboys! She also recorded songs for the VeggieTales!

WOW! Quite a career with just that, but then in 2001 "Redeemer" hit the scene. She won Doves for Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year for "Redeemer." Throw in a Grammy nomination for her "Everyday People" album, and a couple more Doves in 2005 and it is apparent that NCM is just warming up!
