ARTIST OF THE DAY:
Chris Rice

Chris was born and raised in Clinton, Maryland, a suburb of Washington D.C. A shy kid, according to his family members, who say that even as a kid he "observed everything, and seemed to be studying and mulling over thoughts and people all the time." The mixture of nature, history, and four brothers would inspire Chris and prepare him to be one of Christian music's most decorated song writers.

With six studio albums under his belt, Chris continues to explore new avenues of expression through writing his own magazine and producing other upcoming artists. His songs have a bluesy flow and range from deep worship songs like "Untitled Him (Come to Jesus)" to love songs like "When Did You Fall." And of course Chris wrote and recorded "The Cartoon Song."

Chris Rice leads a wave of Christian song writers that aren't afraid to delve past the traditional 100 Jesus'-per-minute, predictable Christian radio songs, and explore social topics, romance, and sometimes vivid allegories inspired by great writers like CS Lewis.
