Thursdays. Friday's disappointing cousin.

102.5 Shore Things
Getting to know the Eastern Shore

#43. Viewtrail 100 Bike Trail

Worcester County has over 100 miles of bike trails, weaving through unspoiled countryside. It makes for a comfortable biking experience most of the year. From Assateague Island to Snow Hill, Berlin, and Pocomoke City - what a great way to explore the Eastern Shore. Well accept for the whole bike seat thing. Not ergonomically designed ...

#42. Bridges
#41. The Narrows Restaurant on Kent Island
#40. Cape Henlopen State Park

Have something to add to the list? I'd love for you to email me your ideas: jmillwood@wolc.org

ARTIST OF THE DAY:
Andrew Peterson

Discovered by Caedmon's Call, Andrew Peterson is a singer-songwriter who isn't afraid to challenge the norm. He was nominated for "Country Recorded Songs Of The Year" at the 2004 Dove Awards, though a country artist he is not. He's spent over a decade touring with artists Caedmon's Call, Derek Webb, Nicole Nordeman, Jill Phillips, and other members of the mysterious "Square Peg Alliance."

The SPA is a group of Christian artists who push the envelope when it comes to lyrics and reaching the lost for Christ by actually going to them, rather than hoping they show up at a church show.

So Andrew Peterson is not your cookie-cutter Christian artist. He's got convictions, he lays his struggles out in songs, and isn't afraid to be who God made him, rather than to be what the suits at the label say. Bravo, Mr. Peterson!

His latest album is called Counting Stars
