Tick, tock, tick, tock - that's the sound of the clock teasing me with a long Holiday weekend ... just out of reach. But you know what? We are going to make the best of this Thursday-that-should-be-a-Friday!

102.5 Shore Things
Getting to know the Eastern Shore one thing at a time ...

#8. Golf at Nutter's Crossing off Snow Hill Rd in Salisbury. I can't play golf - but I wish I could. I hope to learn now that I live on the Shore and it is comfortable to be outside more than 4 weeks out of the year.

#7. A walk through the Salisbury Zoo!
#6. Good Mexican food at Cactus Taverna!

Have something to add to the list of 102.5 Shore Things (Stuff to know, do, try, experience, etc. etc. on Delmarva)?

ARTIST OF THE DAY:
Jamie Slocum

Jamie Slocum has been writing, performing, and recording in Nashville since the early 1990s, but it was only recently that his music got the attention of Christian radio. In 2009 his album and song "Dependence" took off. He was number one on Christian radio for 11 weeks! Also, he grabbed a GMA Dove nomination for "Song of the Year." Nice.

Jamie Slocum is an example of keeping faith in your calling, and achieving long sought after success only after a long time "out in the desert."

His latest single, "Fragile", written on the heels of Dependence, also deals with the issue of trusting God in an uncertain world. How we must delight in adversity knowing that our faith is being tested. (2 Corinthians 4) 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
