Tuesday the 13th! Wait ...

Did you wake up today feeling really "blah?" Me too. I think we both need to exercise in the morning to escape those "blah" starts to the day, but lets be honest - sometimes making the coffee feels like exercise. Alas - onwards and upwards!

102.5 Shore Things
Getting to the Eastern Shore one bullet point at a time!

#16. The Choptank River.

Did you know that that Choptank River has its own Heritage museum? For real: http://www.riverheritage.org/. Besides the historical relevance for trade development, this river is pretty important to sportsmen, fishermen, and folks who just like be beside the water (of which there is no great shortage of on the Eastern Shore!).

#15. Salisbury University Soccer.

Have something you want to ad the the ever growing list (which must top out at 102.5)? Email me: jmillwood@wolc.org

ARTIST OF THE DAY:
Brandon Heath

Brandon Heath Knell (AKA B-Heath, HeathBar, Heathcliff ... ok, now I'm just making stuff up) comes from a broken home. When he was just 3 his parents divorced. Growing up, Brandon was bitter towards his family, but he found comfort in Christ while in high school. At age 16 Brandon was invited to a Christian camp with some friends. He accepted Christ and began to learn about forgiveness.

Like many from a broken home, forgiving your parents for being human was not easy. Music was a great way to get his pain and struggle out. 2006 saw the release of "Don't Get Comfortable" - garnering radio play and topping Billboard's Christian charts. He won New Artist of the Year at the Dove Awards in 2007, and his song "I'm Not Who I Was" was performed by a contestant on American Idol.

In 2009 Brandon Heath released "Wait & See" - scoring another Billboard hit, and Heath joined Leeland to record their hit "Follow You." Besides recording, Heath writes and performs with many in the industry, helping other artists craft their hearts into songs.
